Hi-Ho, Don-O!
Glad you got around to another show filled with a crapload of classic George Carlin bits! But sorry to hear about Peter Schickele. PDQ Bach is one of those oddball acts that rarely gets any rotation on radio. I figure they had a cult following consisting of classical music fans and college residents and some fans of the same oddball music Dr. Demento was known to play. Would've loved a chance to see them perform live. Now that's just one item to strike out of my bucket list.

It can get confusing if someone is referring to William Shatner.
  8:43pm
Dean:

But I also on occasion use "micturated."

It's William Shatner, not William the Shatner.

You'd think the Hooters chain would've taken a hint and made that an actual item on their menu, lol!

William himself was a pioneer in broadcast free speech. In 1967, he became the first on television to say "hell" as slang, instead of in the acceptable Biblical sense.
It was in the famous last line of "The City on the Edge of Forever".

No, the FCC can be a force for good. The radio/TV stuff hearkens back to the age of finite technical resources for broadcasting. Some creepy parent complained about Carlin, because his kid was in the room when it was aired on WBAI. (Like me up there about my made-up kid.) Fuck guys like that.

I was just recently mulling over the origin of the term "humdinger" and how it transcended from it's original meaning into a reference for a certain sexual act.
