AGREED. i read something that was like "the fact that reneee rapp is the star of the new mean girls = regina is the new protagonist, and we didn't learn anything from the movie at all"? Or something like that? like, it used to be that everyone wanted to be lindsay lohan and now everyone wants to be regina george. idk if that makes sense. it's just something i keep thinking about

I'm getting to a state of "this wasn't made with me in mind, it's aimed at a different audience". For me it doesn't make the movie bad, and I enjoyed those two so much. I have a hopeless need to see Richard E. Grant, whatever he puts his acting hat on for.

Kanopy is part of the library system that I learned about from one of the accu playlists. I think your library has Kanopy or Hoopla, or sometimes both. It's jammed in with a bunch of other little teeth in the front, so I can see how I didn't notice (but they seem to count the teeth every time, so it seems funny they didn't notice until now).

Looks like fluoridation of water in NJ is locally controlled, so some places add it and some don't. Some places have a naturally high fluoride concentration in the groundwater: www.nj.gov...

I wish we had fluoridated water as a kid. All of my nephews and neices have no cavities on fluorodated water, whereas my siblings all had multiple cavities and are needing root canals now due to teeth cracking from those giant old fillings

Acid Cazh:

I work from home during the day, at the same desk where my Pro Tools setup is, where I work on recording music nights and weekends. (My WFH day job is, sadly, entirely unrelated to music.)

This last weekend I got a nice pair of studio monitors plugged into the mix. Previously I had listened to WFMU during my work hours through a pair of laptop speakers, and I just used headphone monitors whenever I was working on music. Now I've got the nice monitors — I figured, why not play WFMU through them while I toil away at the day job?

Interestingly, all day today I noticed it sounded better, but I wasn't really blown away until Radio Ravioli. This show tends to lean into higher production music with great use of the stereo field, and it makes a giant difference played through a great system.

So now I'm kind of blissed out. Been hard to concentrate on work. Thankfully, the work day is over in about thirty or forty minutes...
