I haven't done acid since the 80s either. I stopped all drugs, alcohol and even caffeine when I got pregnant in 89. I went back to caffeine and eventually alcohol. but had to quit that. I know some people can drink alcohol their whole lives and it doesn't hurt them but it never agreed with me.
Pot and coffee is about all I can handle now. I can't imagine that long come down today. Physically going through that day after your acid trip thing. Yuck.

Yeah, that's why it was nice doing it at the bathes, for one of their parties! They always had lots of fruit out to eat, helped with hangover. I've done LSD hundreds of times before I quit. My body one day just said "no".

You know who is getting up in years but takes acid every day? Cherry Vanilla. She does it through a doctor. I think I brought that up in here a couple years ago. I'm so curious about that. If a person is doing it through a doctor, and doesn't start doing that until their 60s, must be doable. Like you never come down, but you aren't so high you can't function.

Even as a teenager I felt cautious. Like knowing unusual hippies in Northern California, some of which never seem to come down. I didn't want permanent damage, so I never tried the end on end for long sustained time type of high. I wanted to feel clear in between times.
When I hung out with Sky Saxon for a long time I had trouble telling if he was still frying. I met him when I was drunk and he was coming down from an acid trip. but in the week to 10 days we hung out it didn't seem like he changed all that much.
People on acid tend to feel comfortable around me when I'm not on acid or any drug.

after I took it then realized it was the same drug she had been warning me about it was the first step of me realizing she didn't always know what she was talking about and probably lied sometimes.
