when i was young, and taking our cat to the vet with my parents, (in a car). the cat was not in a carrier etc- free as a bird. at one point the cat became spooked or (?) something, and lept up onto my stepfather's head. he was totally freaked and it amused young me greatly (stepfather was usually cranky), and i think the cat was primarily "mine". i was proud of said cat (for looking out for me) The End

aloha, coelacanthØ. he was driving. not at the time, but i'f\d have to day ingerneral /usually, yes. he was an angry person, especially if i was annoying him, or demonstrated that i knew something he didn't. for example, i once used the word irrelevant... he tried to tell me it wasn't a word. 🤦🏻‍♂️

"he was totally freaked".

i think it may have been... some green little station wagon (i forget what kind, but it was japanese and happened to be a lemon (i think it was one that was breaded with a familiar amrican. a dodge colt wagon maybe.

otherwise it was probablysome other mid-sized american car (used, and purchased from a neighbor who lived across the street). they ended up dumping a lot of money into it (the wagon), and it was still a POS/lemon. i felt kind of bad for them (my parents).

he did have a cool car though ( a little opel manta who's stick shift would flail areoud wildly from worn bushing, and a poorly tune engine. i loved that car. he has an 8track in it.... i think it was maroon too.

My parents always had a least one Volvo from the mid-'70s, when we moved to L.A., all the way up to 2015, when my mom's Volvo wagon died while I was driving it. Basically, the suspension fell out as I was attempting to exit a parking structure in Santa Barbara.

the cat was either Sandy, who i loved and ran away... for a while afterward i rode around a couple/few neighborhoods with a hand drawn sign until one day i gave up... or it was princess, who i loved and suffered with leukemia for a couple of years (?) and the ond day got hit by a car that was driving down our street. my parents were working, and i was beingbabysat by a teenage neighbor who lived across the street, Karen (redacted)... either a neighor or passing motorist carried it up the street to our dood in a corougated bardboard box. i watched her die. babysitter didn't know what to do.. buried her inour backyard
