(early '80s) and i bought an old copy of daphnis & chloe, knowing it was unplayable, just for the packaging... several pages of woodblock print reproductions in a twine-bound book with a textured cover - but i'm not sure i've ever heard daphnis & chloe.

	♥ 6:07pm coelacanth∅: ↳ vanhooserd @5:45 2005 i saved hundreds of lps from a curbside, ~70% classical, ~20% early jazz, + some blues and folk - neatly twined in manageable stacks. the collector, a frail old man came out and suspiciously, harshly asked me what i'm going to do with them - prejudging me by my long hair i guess. so my plan was as yours is, amidst all the other music i want to hear. increase my classical knowledge and probably enjoy most of it; but i got relieved of that responsibility by flood water a few years later. (i'd pulled 2-3 stacks out before that) so i shall remain a novice.

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!
