We saw it on a walk with Mariano but didn't make it inside. We saw brass band funk music one night and a rock band at a dive bar another night. Great trip, though! Got to spend time with Mariano and clarke and had a larger WFMU-listener gathering the first night.

Awesome LA side trip: Avery Island. Half of it is the Tabasco Sauce factory (which you can tour), the other half is a bird/wildlife sanctuary. And of course it's also a Neutral Milk Hotel album title.

You know, I have a vague recollection of talking about doberge cakes with you a couple of years back because it's based on the Hungarian dobos torte.
