Bob, you need to look up Joe Camillieri on YouTube and include some of his music with Jo Jo Zep and The Black Sorrows on future shows. He is amazing and his albums are some of the best engineered and mixed recordings I've ever heard. People who have played with Joe include Wrecking Crew vet Vanetta Fields and Asleep At The Wheel's Lucky Oceans.

@hopewithfeathers - fortunately, I did get to see Danny Gatton play live 2-3 times in NYC. Unlike Nick and Eva, he was fairly well known while he was still alive. What’s up with all the guitar talent that came out of the DC area? Danny, Roy Buchanan, Bobby Radcliffe (incredible blues player who never really broke through), Bill Kirchen (originally from Ann Arbor but part of the DC scene at some point), Jorma Kaukonen (who made his bones in SF but was from DC or thereabouts), etc

Best way to spend an early Saturday afternoon, BOB. Great show. After MARATHON, what do you and PETE TOMLINSON have lined up?

Could be the water! Bill is now here in Austin, plays out quite a bit, just like he used to in DC. Bobby is not performing as much these days (some issues with his hands) but a great guy.

Pete's got some other commitments but I hope we get to resume our shows in the near-ish future. Thanks for asking, Gerry.

And if you love Danny, try Laur Joamets, Estonian guitarist, formerly with Sturgill Simpson, he's a big Danny fan and plays a lot like him

This film sheds looks a Gatton’s legacy www.anacostiadelta.com

Guitar virtuosos like Dave Chappell, who played with Danny, sometimes perform Anacostia Delta shows. I’ve seen a few and they’re mind blowing.

A youngish new guitarist who plays with Dave is Anthony Pirog
