hello perro and people... saw brian wilson in '98 doing most of pet sounds and he was in good form joking with the audience, by 2004 i felt he shouldn't have been out there, the "machine" that was built around him was getting exploitative and he was like a performing bear...thanks for playing H&V

My wife got me a Canon Rebel SII for Christmas, but I haven't had a chance to even take it out and play with it because a) overwork b) my broken brain won't let me put film in it until I understand how shutter speed / ISO / f-stop stuff works. Got me some Portra film, too, whenever I figure it out I'm gonna have a lot of fun.

For me it really is a time thing. I have the camera manual and an old school textbook on photography bookmarked and ready to go, I just need an uninterrupted six hours or so that I can be allowed to hyperfocus on it during daylight hours (I can hyperfocus at will, its my neurodivergent superpower).

But my job eats up like 60 to 70 hours a week.

I'm working on my day job stuff right this second... in between chatting on this here comments board, that is.

i used to get my film developed at George Street Cameras when I was in college! After I graduated, i went to Livingston Cameras and most recently I went to Peters Cameras Shop!

I mean decent-ish resolution. More than big enough for web use, but not high res enough for printing a poster or anything.

The prints I REALLY like I take to Luster Photo in the East Village and drop like $125 to get scanned with a drum scan, then I have them printed on 24" x 36" coated aluminum for another $165 **

** Truth be told I have done this exactly once, but I'm about to do it again for (of all things) a commission.

I am a poet and a musician, not a visual artist, but I am glad someone likes my "work."

I tried some of those Goldfish snacks they had at Trash Cult on weekend. They're the most bland pointless snack tasting of nothing despite a multitude of ingredients. We ended up throwing them in the bin. & I never waste food, but they weren't food. Brutally honest review concluded.
