One is a sax player (Cathy Heyden), though she's not playing smooth jazz (that I know of)

Sure. Sorry ambient is so general. Which, if you go to Bandcamp, you will quickly see that there's a ton of different stuff that falls under that umbrella including some metal and over-the-top techno. So the genre kinda means different things to different people I guess.
