my dad had one funny story from when he was in college in philly during the early 50s. my father and his friends went to see Gerry play a local club, and afterwards when he went over to say hi to his cousin, he said to my dad, "thanks for coming out to see me, but you're really supposed to be quiet during the show."

Brings back memories of first hearing Fred Neil when I was a teenager in South Texas. Phil Devin would tape shows in NYC, and send them down to a radio station who would broadcast them on Sunday afternoons.
