April 2, 2024: The Wiggle Room w/ BC Sterrett Presents: "Music for Chinese Hopping Vampires"
I've been on a huge Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and Brian Eno kick for the past year or so. Mostly because I keep finding their music in Chinese Vampire films from the 80's and 90's, (probably due to the gray area copyright laws in foreign countries at the time.) I've been obsessed with Chinese Vampires (aka Jiangshi) ever since 1986, when I first watched the film "Reigen Doushi" aka "Mr. Vampire" at a sleepover in 5th Grade while living in Kobe, Japan. It was in Cantonese with Japanese subtitles but it didn't matter. I've been collecting these films ever since AND the associated toys and memorabilia. This is an audio trip back to my childhood obsession, for my recent 48th birthday that took place a couple days ago :) Instead of photos of the albums, I will be posting pictures of my VHS copies/posters of the films the songs are featured in, from my personal collection.

Too long to play these TD tracks in their entirety on this episode, but maybe someday I'll do a pt. 2 of this theme in the future. This track will fade out when our time is up.
