I consider myself an age’d wide open eared music listener - yet autotuned musics (any style) challenges me to enjoy it. Mind you, I loved Neil Young’s “Trans” outta the gate. & other ‘vocoder’ / electronic voice manipulation type playful stuff (Imogen Heap /
diamanda galas / Buffy St Marie, etc). I can even appreciate Cher’s “believe”, etc. But the majority of the pop & hip hop / commercial auto tuned vocals are … sigh🫤.

Sisters were totally into Donovan from late 60s onward… so I have a ‘nostalgic Pavlovian audio kneejerk reaction’ (syndrome). Particularly fond of the wonky “essence to essence” & “cosmic wheels” albums. We had to get 2 cosmic wheels - one got totally warped! by being left in a Hot car.

Also on one hand want to be broadminded : an old school Modernists believes Pollack's axiom : 'Technique is just a way of arriving @ a Statement.'
But taste is what it is - & reflecting on why has to follow it. I find I'm less interested in Machine Music all the time now. Repetitive machine beats - slick over-processed sounds ...my brain is filtering it out as Not Music before I know it ...

Creatura = the realm of Created Things ~ Creatures ? Which is the opposite & complimentary idea to the Pleroma, which is the All & Everything. The world of Created Things is all the objects & creatures with distinct traits - & the Pleroma has no features, for it contains All of them. Gawd in other words...

ok i remembered that music station i used to listen to, Seeburg 1000! not mechanical, it's all instrumental versions of pop songs from the 50s-80s, meant to be played as background music in stores and such

100 percent. No contest, game over.

K8 used to cover this with a jazz band, and even despite jazz noodling, I preferred that to the original.

↳ Song: "Please Please Me" by "Blondie"
Blondie freak follower since parallel lines (then immediately went backwards and was elated). Imo, their latter period albums still are getting it done (in a significant way). There was the super low of “The Hunter”. But after the hiatuses everything was up by the 2000’s! Btw: do Not sleep on their cable 1hour Berlin concert video = its jaw dropping considering advanced age etc! Drummer Clem Burke is G-O-D!
