Hey y'all. A neighbor a few floors above me decided to install a birdfeeder, which is nice and all, except for all the poop raining down on everyone below, including me. They've been told to remove it but haven't. As you're professionals, how many feral cats do you recommend I drop from the roof onto the balcony with the birdfeeder?

Sad animals ... a cousin keeps his new calves and their mothers adjacent to me ... a heiffer was meawling/bawling sporadically all day but it increased in intensity as evening came on and I thought she was have some post birthing complications and went up to my cousin's house to tell him and he said - "she's fine.. her calf died this afternoon..." Some people say/believe animals have no thoughts/feelings/emotions/souls ==> a sad day in the village ..

Which brings up a question I've been rolling over for a bit now: why, in the seventies, did ducks get to be disco, chickens got to be funky but turkeys were damned with the reputation of being jive? And why was there no glam goose?

OMG Swivs, if you’re near Disneyland, the Disney feral cats may well find that bird feeder. Disneyland has a very well managed feral cat colony and they have their own web presence. There was an article about them in the Wall Street Journal about 10 years ago.
  8:31pm
morphe':

... a sad day in the village .. for the heiffer especially and me, but my cousin was only thinking of profit and loss ... the calf would have soon been separated anyway ... youngsters go one way and the mothers go for milking .. and the young boys [bullocks] get fed until off to the slaughter ... most folks do not realize that the beef they eat are generally males not cows ... cows are for milking ... boys are for eating ...

Kathleen from JC:

Amanda, it’s funny. You should ask that about purrs and trapping feral cats. As I was listening to the purrs, I was walking past a site where I am hoping to trip an elusive cat! The thought occurred to me of using purrs in trapping. I have not attempted that. Baby kitten sounds to help us trap elusive mother cats. Cats are so sound oriented. Why not!
