I remember the band was having some money issues and they asked my friend, who was on the guest list, if we'd drive a couple members back to the hotel, and we took Rat and Roman. Rat was in a good mood and very cool to chat with, but Roman was a little upset and complaining that "the effin' manager had no effin' money and he couldn't get no effin' smokes"...I was just a high school kid and it was all very cool

The drumming was definitely integral to this great tune as well. Compared to so many other bands of that first wave punk era The Damned generally had more dynamics/melodic complexity...to my young ears at least...and they were fun!!!
