for obvious reasons my favorite Dire Straits album is their 3rd “Making Movies” (1980) - cinematically passionate! (Oddly didn’t much care for anything beyond it) - except some Knopfler soundtrack work.

Speaking of musical curveballs, yesterday I saw a dance show with mostly classical music (the show was called requiem(s), so you can guess which kind), but with a few songs by System of a Down thrown in.
Startling, but for a show about death, I wish they had gone all the way to death metal (or Death, the band)
