Oh, I posted this 6,7x on various chat boards. I do again-
I will be working at nyc union square greenmarket, for the LES Ecology Center stand on may 27,29(Mon, Wed), 8-5pm. We collect food scraps... This is part of NYC’s Community Composting program, & mayor Eric Putin wants to 100% defund us. Crazy- it’s a successful low cost program that people love, and it helps save the earth. Come on!

gotta check my email, but iirc -- LES Ecology Center is requesting that we email the idiot Mayor to request that he not cut this incredibly important funding (received a similar email from NYBG too!)
like cutting funding to the libraries! it is like he wants to undermine anything that would be beneficial to NYC and everyone who lives here
(ok -- i am in Hoboken -- but i have learned that having "out of state" people advocate for *whatever* is always helpful!)
