🫀Lookout for Hope (feat. The Umbria Jazz Orchestra) by Bill Frisell alive & indirect =❤️, i believe a reworking of a much older title track. Appreciate its Noir-adjacent vibes. Usta try and collect Frisell, but it was impossible to keep up 🤭 - prolific! I will still attend in-concert anytime he’s nearish by.

It's cooled down a little after an unusually warm May, but it feels good. I got back last night from a couple of days in Crete reviewing an EU project, and it was extremely hot there. This afternoon is both a flea market at my cobbler friend's workshop and the celebration of Finnish Sauna Day at Rajaporrt, around the corner from me.

Overall, it's a wonderful place. But the legal and medical establishments are quite conservative. I think it will change though; the younger generation doesn't drink nearly as much as the older ones (probably because they got sick of seeing their parents drunk and stupid), but are doing more cannabis. In Pispala, where I live, it's everywhere.

re Frisell - either trio or orchestra - s’ALL Good-Great!
- some 🎸guitar lovers find his occasionally turning his back to audience bothersome (I say 🤷‍♂️) they usually wanna see his fingers etc. also, unlike so many artists, I found that his team would be sure to offer copious amounts of albums at merch table etc. always a bonus at a concert.

When I was twelve I became more than enthusiastic about the Beatles, and John in particular. Completely lost interest in sport and never recovered, although I can appreciate the wondrous skill of top players in most sports. The worst of it is that sports have become big business and thus sullied and stupid -- vehicles for selling shit to the infinitely manipulable masses aka consumers' freedom of choice in free societies. I still remember the top Australian Davis Cup player, Rod Laver, before the Cup surrendered its amateur status.

Frances just had her hrabies boosts 2 weeks ago so OK for 3 years. Late night internet said mange might be more likely a problem, if one at all. So basically just keep away from them. Some people start feeding them, seems cold cuts are a go to food for foxes!

Unfortunately, there is some U.S. extra-territorial legislation that has considerable repressive effect. Mostly this legislation in enforced via the mighty Yankee dollar. American exceptionalism goes hand in hand with having the global Leitwährung (key reserve currency) in its power.

BRICS only gets a mention in business rags. It has lost its gloss over the years, and no wonder, now that the 'post-war world order' has fallen apart. The Cold War détente between the Soviet Union and the U.S. seems paradisic compared to what's now facing us. Back to square one. Fukayama's pronouncement of the "end of history" has turned out to reveal itself to be euphoric hubris on the part of jubilantly expansive, borderless capital
