Heat zombie-fied over here. Heat and a screw up by Greyhound bus that nearly left me stranded over night and resulted me getting home at 3AM instead of 11PM. Was not a party. See, I bring my own crap to the hour of crap.

It was 100 mile trip. We got a ride to nearest New York metro - north station that had a midnight train to NYC. The worse is that Greyhound offered no assistance or admission that they sold us tickets to a bus run that did not exist. Best they would offer is telling us to go the their web page and file a request for a ticket refund.

Greyhound has non-existent customer service. We could find nothing on their website. No chat, no phone number. The pickup location was a Trailways bus station. It was closed but there was an 800 number on the window. We called that and the person apologized and said that Greyhound had sold us tickets to a bus run that did not exist. Told us we needed to call Greyhound for assistance. We said we had been looking and could not find any number. The person put us on hold for a moment and came back with a number for us. We then spent a useless frustrating half hour on the phone with Greyhound until they finally hung up on us.

We knew then we were on our own to figure out how to get back home.

Had gone to visit friends in Saugerties NY. The closest bus stop to them is in nearby Kingston NY. We were traveling from NYC Port Authority building which is a massive bus station on 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.
