Am I confused!? It was earlier when I saw him at Raji's then. What happened that night: I went out on a restaurant review with an ex. I begged her to go with me, but she wasn't having it. So I had to take her back to Pasadena, THEN drive back to Hollywood. I was irked for the millionth time at her, but off I went anyway.

It's a good thing I went. I was able to talk with Arthur for a few minute and shake his hand. I'll remember that for the rest of my life, where as going out on assignment with my ex will forever be relegated to the trash heap of stupid things I've done.

The El Monte Legion Stadium. Kid Congo and I went to see Rueben and The Jets with Wild Man Fisher. We were sitting on the floor when Miss Sparky came up to Brian(Kid) and tried to get him to dance. He politely said no thank you, which made Sparky more insistent. She started tugging on his arm and begging. Brian wasn't having it, so Sparky marched off in a huff.

"Explain this to me." I asked Brain. "Well, a couple of weeks ago I rode my bike to a show with Geronimo Black and Rueben and the Jets. Sparky and I danced all night long."

Even at the age of fourteen, Brian was already quite the man about town.

We had stopped after dinner to get ice cream, and the storm started and I looked out my rearview mirror and saw only a wall of grey. For a sec I thought it was a tornado, fortunately just extremely heavy rain

what was refreshing about those covers was that they were taken at face value and did not try to create a beach boys sound or phil spector, they were dealt with as standards which someone had to have an ear and vision in '67 to pick up on
