The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

Folks, relax. None of our prexies heretofore would ever have argued and reasoned admirably. None.

But then I don't vote, never have. None of these horror stories, none of their laws, have ever reflected what I would choose to govern my "interests."

Biden is border-line mentally retarded. Trump is a dick. Both of them have been advocates of reasonable policies. I see no reason to have to choose.

I honestly doubt that. This was a media spectacle, which is almost by definition designed to go awry.

Good god, the ageism! Bernie's too old, AOC's too young! Do you hear yourself?

Voting is so dumb. (I think that line appeared in the Federalist Papers.) Folks, vote for preferred ideologies. I would have voted for Shirley Chisholm, but I was too young. Nobody since approaches her in terms of ideology that I can buy.

Quite the opposite. It would have to go to Harris, who is not ideal since she was a viciously extra-carceral California prosecutor in a past life. The Democratic party passing her up for a white person, even one far more electable like Whitmer (who would be an excellent unifying figure -- not too slick and ultra-centrist like Newsom, not too progressive, but has gotten both sides in MI to work together) would be horrendous optics and would risk alienating both Black and Asian voters, particularly Black women.

If they want to win the election it would be a very bad choice.
It's your middle that needs to be won, the ordinary swing voters.
And because you don't have to vote they have to be engaged enough to come out in numbers.

"population minorities" is just the statistical fact. i don't care what people themselves *want* to be called because people are generally only concerned for themselves. (like, "people of colour" is decidedly racist against "whites", for instants)
- and anyway it's mostly one person's -sometimes flippant- idea, then the sheeple follow.
i generally don't use ANY of these terms that perpetuate a sturdy separation between the masses, who are all in the same sinking ship together.
fuck "black & white". absolute fucking bullshit, and the media pushes it to keep the people at odds with each-other; so ineffectual against the actual enemies.
