Hmm, quick research says these years had a Sunday Oct 23: 1955, 60, 66, 77, 83. I’m gonna guess the poster is from one of the earlier of those years…

What's weir is that at the bottom, the ZIP code for that Philadelphia address is printed, in smaller type. Probably the Keystone Poster Printing Co had recently added it to their form. So I'm guessing 1966 for the year.

As long as we're on about it, this evening I barbecued a chicken leg and ear of corn, ate it with some cold beans cooked a few days ago with fruit and vegetables, and cold potato salad I'd made at the same time. Some Saucy Susan sauce, and washed it down with no-cal imitation lemonade from powder. Much of it was to use up canned vegetables Don had laid in; he got out of the hospital just today, back to nursing home, still healing from stroke.

I always thought the best time and place to live in history was NYC in the '50s -- r&B and gospel at the Apollo, jazz at the Five Spot and Vanguard, latin bands like Tito Puente at Roseland. I can only imagine! And you could afford to live there, too

Great placards! I have some. 1964 was the greatest year. We took a station wagon from Boston to Newark Armory. Ronnie Willam’s specialized in these cards. My greatest memories.
