...we're about eight light minutes from the ⦿Sun : it takes light that long to reach us from ~93 Million Miles away (referred to then as One Astronomical Unit). Counterintuitively - we're a little further from the ⦿Sun in Summer (Northern Hemisphere) - it's all about our tilt & the length of daylight... Reportedly you could fit ~1.3 Million ⊕Earths inside the ⦿Sun...
Apparently, the ⦿Sun is 'middle-aged' - about 4.6 billion years old - & 'roughly 5 billion years from now, the Sun will exhaust the hydrogen fuel in its core and start burning helium, forcing its transition into a red giant star' - expanding out past our orbit & vaporing this planet...

Just finished reading and, wow, now it all makes sense: Reagan's plea to Gorbachev ("Tear down this wall!"), the reunification of the two Germanies, the Iron Curtain falling. But then we had the Iraqui invasion of Kuwait & Desert Storm, the coup at the Kremlin & The Yugoslavian Civil War, all after only 3 years. So there is reason for skepticism at some level, especially among those not acquainted with Astrology.
