They actually pronounce Monroe and West Monroe a little bit different each word depending on if they put the West in front of it up where my mom is from. I'm trying to think of how they say it. They put the emphasis more on the first syllable when they say Monroe and when they say West Monroe they put more of the emphasis on the second syllable. Crazy!
