Guss' Pickles on Essex Street used to be THE pickle place! sadly, sold and closed -- but looks like there is a shop in Brooklyn, and available online

a joint called The Pickle Guys also on the LES -- but i have yet to go there (there used to be soooo many pickle shops in the area!)

and Pickle Licious is always at a bunch of farmers markets in NJ 💚💚

One of my faves of the Clinton family tree outfits (that’s seemingly less known or celebrated?) is Jimmy G & the Tackheads:”federation of tackheads” (1985) = some great vocal motifs put to electro beats circa Geo’s great solo capital years albums! It’s his kid brother’s (Jimmy Giles?) outfit.

I miss those transitional days when cassettes popularity were fading (after CDs arrived) & one could grab tons from any department store for $.99–$1.99! Got my ZAPP⚡️that way. Probably Woolworths before they closed. They had beaucoup tons of funky funk cassettes for some random reason. scored Chic’s legendary “Risqué” on tape for Nuttin.

Unless it’s custom cassettes by the artists (R.Stevie Moore, Al Margolis, etc, etc) I can’t bring myself to pay more than $5. fer commercially manufactured cassettes… I’d rather buy yardsale homemade customs.

there was the "main" Tower store at Broadway and East 4th Street -- i started at the Bookstore/Video store; when the bookstore closed, i worked at the Outlet, on East 4th and Lafayette . . . (there was a Tower uptown -- 66th and Broadway? but never worked there)
