A Little Late on the Squat

Cum one cum all smell cumin
I pulled out too late on the fifth measure downbeat
Fourth abortion this quarter! Kept the fifth one
good kid, but not right
intimidation from the right
To every thing there is a season, cardamom, star anise
Did too!
Throat cleared of phlegm, wipe the sleep from the eyes, sneeze

Did not!

The Other Pattern

Kiku Sushi Tupac Shakur
Wittgenstein Paul Dunmall
None were ambidextrous window washers
Of skill pristine
No talent to spare
No anal pot street

Chiasmus, if I’ve told you once
I’ve told you a hundred times,
and if a hundred, once,
is an occult diagonal, a Catch-22 palindrome
Paul Cézanne also told you when he committed
networks of telephone wires
to happy combinations on a canvas
He told you you’d see one thing and then another
and then he told you you’d see the one as the other
and the other as the one.

The tidepools at Half Moon Bay
do Cézanne’s heavy lifting
and govern a downward look
a command yours to obey
defy, question, articulate, elaborate
chocolate
“I blab.”
We are out of tune

Two inches below sea level a glimpse of maritime clarity
precision gauged to a gleeful yes, a moment held. A yes.

How the fuck have you been, Soldier?
Shouldn’t of ran. We miss you, man
Can I talk you through this
while the bees go about their business?

This poem is dedicated.

I accept.

So now all we have to do is think of some sort of goofy thing to get you want to suspend your disbelief.

Some wonderful thing that happened as a result of your sparing this spider.

Something utterly wonderful and life affirming.

Something that somehow pulls joy out of the heart.

But instead of Charlotte's Web, it can be a bloodthirsty agent of your revenge against all those who wronged you in high school, Coelacanth.

Yes. And armed with that power that Coelacanth just got from being bitten by that spiderr, she also can use it as an agent of her revenge.

Now she has this, like, bond with the spiders.

re Peter Stampfel: “he is alleged in his own mind”! Peter is a profit of glee & joy to what’s left of the humanity of this world.
- grateful to have randomly been in an intensive public therapy weekend with him back in the mid 90s! Apparently he attended to stay re-inspired & creative. Ha!, I’ll Say!🤪. He was plowing thru with great aplomb and even occasionally playing his fiddle outside of the intensive. & inviting folks to jam with him. I attempted rhythm via a ribbed plastic bottle. Wonerful memories to hang in the same environment with him & glean from his vibes!
“Glee for All” were some of his words of wisdom to aspire to live by. 👏🤘😄

reposting a story i posted on if you lose your horse last week...

i have a horse association, with a risk of tmi, but here goes... i had a girlfriend sr of high school who was really into horses, i mean really into horses. she had a lifesized, garishly colored horses head on her bedroom wall and....she had very large breasts. we were going to the prom together and there was one opportunity to get to second base when we were under a blanket in her backyard, but her mom came home....we were about a month into the relationship and she turned a cold shopulder to me no explanation. six months later i'm away at college and come home for break. my mother is working in a department store, and my mother looks at me incredulously, "do you know a girl named donna" at this time. i realize my mother's incredulity has to do with the girl's breast size. i say i know her. "well she says you're much too sensitive"...so this is my association with horses.
