Musical theater from off the beaten path. Obscure and unusual show tunes from within the canon and without, flops, failures, and the newest works from up-and-coming artists—plus tried-and-true hits. Also, occasional appearances from songs that are not show tunes (but only if they go really well with show tunes).

↳ Song: "I'm Juggling All My Life" by "Allan Sherman"
Allan Sherman always brings a smile to my face. I remember him well from my childhood, but this song isn't familiar to me. Great song!

Oh, BTW, hi Bronwyn and fellow AJH listeners!

But at least these shows didn't close in previews. It could be worse. :)

Amazing that a show that gets out of previews would be closed after less than a week but I guess the decision to close could be in motion during the preview and then they open just so that it can qualify as having opened. And money is always a factor. All ears for the details and speculations, and the tunes as well, of course.

I just noticed the title of the album this song was on. So, there was an "Unsung Musicals, Vol. 1" before it?

I'm not sure where I read this, but I once read this witty reply to a critic from a writer: "I am sitting in the smallest room of my home. I have your review in front of me. Soon, it will be behind me." I leave that to your imagination.

reputed to have come from composer / musician Max Reger in 1906.
