Wanna hear a sad tale? (posted this on ...Devaints last night). Yesterday my family was to fly to Sweden, Copenhagen, and Poland. I had family in those places years back, wanted to check them out.
Passport was good until September, knew I'd need to renew it, but figured it could be after the trip (If something expires on a certain date, it is good before that date, no?)
Well, no, it turns out. European rules are the passport needs at least 3 months before expiration. So, my family left without me. I'm hoping an early Monday morning visit to the NYC passport office (with tears in my eyes), will get me a passport quickly so I can join them with a Monday night flight. (Family is there already, walking around Gothenburg).
(I do get to listen to more Drummer Stream, bright side...)

So as I understand your story, the expiration date of a passport, as far as EU is concerned, is three months before the expiration date listed on the passport?
Avatar 🦀 Swag For Life Member 10:28am
doctorjazz:

↳ Jeff Golick @10:25
That seems to be the case (remember if you ever fl y to Europe). They want it AT LEAST 3 months from expiration. My return flight was well before it expires, but not good enough (with everything automated now, when I put my passport in the scanner it was immediately rejected, and there's no one to speak to about these things, especiall on a Saturday).

I think you're right, tom tom. I read it in Keith Richards' book.

Vampire Belt, much like Kyosaku, brings to mind the mildly prolific Quebecois band, Klaxon Gueule. One of my favorites. Picked up the Kyosaku last week, too.

I recently exchanged emails with old listener Ausmanx. He lives in Sydney and has hosted live performances in his living room for an irregular series of home concerts. The most memorable to date, he mentioned, was Brötzmann's visit with Heather Leigh.

Imagine that. Full force Brötzmann. In your living room.

I'm joking - I don't think it was really a cover, either. All titles on that record are jazz tunes (mostly Burrell?) and the album title a nod at Unit Structures, I'm guessing.
