hey wendy!

Yeah, it was pretty harsh for me getting up this morn, so I appreciate this.

Hello wendystonehenge, Mr Fab and Krys O.

I'm in a mixed state of head. Have been working for over two hours but only just now made my first cup of tea.

↳ Song: "Janitor" by "Suburban Lawns"
Still waiting on the Suburban Lawns doc film. They've been working on it for years, and have even interviewed a few Sheena-ites.

↳ Mr Fab @12:16
Is there even enough footage to make a doc?

↳ Song: "Forbidden Colors" by "Ryuichi Sakamoto and David ...
Need to look up the context of Sakamoto / Sylvian doing that song. The movie "The Last Emperor" coming out on VHS was the start of my being a fanboy of the music and thought of Sakamoto. I tracked back to YMO. If not for Sylvian's collaborations with Sakamoto I would have not delved at all into his work. Would have left it at my initial impression of less interesting to me offspring of Brian Ferry.

Anyway, tea is ready, will be listening while going through HR remote training that I am a week late completing.

Maybe that's the hold-up? Otherwise it might be just lots of talking head interviews. (not to be confused with Talking Heads interviews).

Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence is definitely worth a watch for any Sakamoto fan

Yes, that is my Christmas movie. Along with Bowie and Sakamoto is Takeshi Kitano. When I was in Japan for 6 months in 1987 I watched Takeshi Kitano on TV three nights a week. He had three different programs weekly.

Same here - I was in a friends car years ago, he was playing a Marc & The Mambas tape, and the unmistakable voice of Nico appeared. He got Nico to sing on his album?! Much respect. So yeah, better put on my miner's hat and start diggin'.
