I worked as a part timer during college at John Wanamaker's and they used to give me tickets to the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden. The Wanamaker Mile, and Mary Decker in the 1,500 meters was the all time highlights back in the day.

we all know all the shenanigans that went into producing the olympics... busing unhoused people, immigrants, out of paris to random locations, severely damaging a coral reef, having athletes sign a waver that they could not sue olympics if they died from heat or caught covid...etc the only reason the games are being held in the depths of summer is that nbc doesn't want it to interfere with their fall football profits
