↳ Erica @3:33
I saw him live maybe 40 years ago, not long after the Breakup Song was a hit, opening for Journey, who were dull as fuck. He was great,
  3:39pm
Dean:

That first Kihn album shows him north of the Berkeley campus outside Rather Ripped Records, which was something of a Beserkley ground zero for punk and off-the-wall records. Alas, it is now a coffee shop.

Kihn's guitarist, Robbie Dunbar, was in another Beserkley (and A&M) band, Earth Quake. His brother, Tommy Dunbar, started The Rubinoo's, still another. Robbie often appears at a nearby pub in various ensembles.

Do you remember Yesterday & Today (aka Y&T), another Bay Area metal/rock band? They're still playing, just did a gig at a club in Berkeley. I would have gone, but it sold out. Saw them way back in the day at the Starwood in Hollywood.

Hullo ! ...yeah Nilsson's voice - plain & simple - he hits the notes & brings it to each one across his range.
Hollies & Everly's worked together anyhow - was some brief overlap.

For some reason no doubt related to my own cognitive dysfunction, I confuse "The Air That I Breathe" with The Sweet's "Love Is Like Oxygen."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm

↳ Dean @4:06
Both prime examples of the oxygen-related subgenre
Avatar 4:08pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

↳ Song: "Cowgirl In the Sand" by "Neil Young"
...& this ...kinda mysterious what Neil did. This is just an undeniable groove. It's like the Stones on 'MidnightRambler' sort of... Yet it's all Kuntrified @ the same time ...the Lead Gittar is almost like Stoopid ...but he digs into it all with such emphasis on the phrasing. It's like GaragePunk Psych. Before anybody was making such Genre distinctions maybe...
