Good Morning Everybody.

Nice first track & although I've never been dopesick myself, I have seen ppl at assorted stages of withdrawal, none of it seemed this tranquil or relaxed.

Maybe it's going to ramp up a bit?

Matias:

Good morning. Perfect, calm, morning music. :)

Good morning. So excited about your show

Never been dopesick? How do you relate to 90% of music? Haha

sounds great. Glad I've never been dopesick.

If this is what it sounds to be dopesick, I'm in

Toothgrinder Tom:

I’ll bet it’s not a pretty picture (dope-sickness).
Avatar 3:18am
Jeremiah:

Morning all. I halfway chose that track because it has "Lament" in the title. Never been dopesick either but doubt it's that chill.

ryansterlingvirtue:

Although I don’t miss being dopesick. It’s a period where your body is unnumbing itself and all of your appetites and senses and emotions start to come back. It’s very overwhelming. Most importantly, you can actually enjoy music again. The smells are the hardest part lol

good morning

I fortunately haven't been dopesick but I do know what it feels like the next day after too many glasses of Port wine 🍷

tom tom the pipers son:

coke was joan didion's favorite drink...very cold....if someone drank the last bottle from the fridge she would throw a fit
i drink colas, but mixed 3/4 seltzer, 1/4 cola

I drink like 3 Mexican Cokes a year. Over plenty of ice. So good for a hangover.

I don't remember when I last had a coke (or any soda). I don't like sugar much anymore, and "Bob" forbid any of that stuff get within a yard of my whisky

Yeah I don't really consume sugar unless I'm stoned (which is rare) but I think that since I don't, my body carves it every once in a while.

Don in Tampere:

Hi Jeremiah and all! Looks like i missed great discussions on dopesickness and sugar by sleeping late. I helped my friend inaugurate the pihasauna (wood-fired sauna in a separate building in the yard) last night and it ended up quite a beery evening
Avatar 4:48am
Jeremiah:

↳ fred @4:33
I broke down and bought some Klondike bars when i was high. Your beer is sugary? Like a lambrusco or something?

Hah! The wedding I was absent for last week had a "Finnish Sauna" on the premises. It was not wood-fired though and I'm not sure what made it Finnish. I did enjoy it though.

All beers are sugary, even those that don't taste sweet (I'm a Guinness fan, though Tripel Karmeliet is my choice at most gigs)
Avatar 4:59am
Don in Tampere:

↳ Jeremiah @4:52
In a lot of countries, I've seen "Finnish sauna" claimed as a dry sauna, but that's nonsense. The whole idea is pouring water on the hot rocks, and there's a wonderful Finnish word for the whole experience: löyly

Jeremiah:

↳ tom tom the pipers son @4:55

Ah I thought you meant sweet. When I think sugary I think of something cloying.
Avatar 5:06am
Jeremiah:

↳ Don in Tampere @4:59
Yes there were rocks and water to be poured on said rocks. I didn't see how it was different from any other sauna though. Didn't seem particularly Finnish to me.

so much for melodic line

Reminds me of a looser Jarre but precedes Oxygene by a few years.

Oxygen is by Jean-Michel Jarre, his father was movie score composer Maurice Jarre, totally different stuff. I saw both Ciani and Jarre Jr, the former is far more interesting. Even now she's really good. Jarre is a joke (he regularly makes appearances at work, usually pathetic, but he sure has a market)

I think it's a relative dryness. Like it's not a steam room. It's not super humid like some Korean saunas I've been to or the sauna at the Y or the Russian baths.
