Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

↳ NotARealDoctor in Norfolk VA @1:13
It is exactly the same, actually. It has no different meaning and the one also is not specifically more polite than the other. However, "Allemaal" is used more often.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:16pm
Jan Turkenburg:

↳ NotARealDoctor in Norfolk VA @1:13
It doesn't make very much difference, but that tiny difference is made by the context. You would say "Hallo Allemaal" rather than "Hallo Iedereen" but adding someone named 'Jan"in the equation means you should say "Hallo Jan en alleman"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

'iedereen' is pronounced "EE-de-RAIN"
and 'allemaal' sounds like "AL-le-MAAHL."

Yeah, not much collector's value with 78s, as they require special equipment to play them. Can't just throw them on any turntable.

Unless it's early blues, like Robert Johnson, your 78s are probably destined for the antique store.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:21pm
Jan Turkenburg:

↳ Paper Kosmonaut @1:19
That's also because Koos is werkeloos (unemployed).

there's a backstory involving my children and their addictions. family vanished and only a few close friends kept in touch. the trouble with time is that you forget WHY you were friends OR the inevitable "WHY or WHAT" am I contacting them for? If i have not seen or spoke to someone for over a year, that is a failure on both parties, but, I cannot use this to 'reach out'. i am viewing this as a fresh start to an adventure.
