Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

While I am rather sad 22-Pistepirkko ceased to exist, they went out with a bang; on their last visit to Norway they performed with their alter ego The Others, doing some Velvet Underground tunes - sung by Wreckless Eric and Robyn Hitchcock! I wonder if there is a YouTube clip of that…

Oh and speaking of Pink Floyd films, “Tonight let’s make love in London” I have only seen excerpts of. The studio session short film (London’66?) I used to have, on glorious VHS until some f’’kwit stole it.

@Julie: That's the misunderstanding above, I hadn't heard of Copperplate before and so I thought Michael might be in the group - moments like that happens on the boards sometimes! 🙂

I can be very old soul in ways as well, but I always like to learn and be aware of new things. And keep my spirits up! I'd say I try to be "universal", versus young or old. WFMU helps keep me clued in to the wonderful new stuff that's always coming out too! 😊

I think it was our own Jim Price who said that one needs to keep Tull in balance, never too much or too little...
