She was in a county rock band. One day she said "Lets go visit the band leader, you'll like him." We went to this small house in the woods and knocked on the front door. His wife answered, and said he was in his studio (garage) with Sean. We knocked on the door of the garage, and Sean Bonniwell, the leader of The Music Machine came out, who arguably invented at least the look of punk rock, I told him I was a big fan his band when I was in thee sixth grade. That seemed to please him and he said to me "You now, I invented punk rock." That's two guys who were on the radio in 1966 that made me crazy.

The band changed radically after Syd’s departure and got really good—great in my opinion. Who knows what might have happened if Syd had remained well and not cratered as he did. That is food for thought. Then, once the band got slick and really entered The Machine and was made into a monster it devolved.

She was in a county rock band. One day she said "Lets go visit the band leader, you'll like him." We went to this small house in the woods and knocked on the front door. His wife answered, and said he was in his studio (garage) with Sean. We knocked on the door of the garage, and Sean Bonniwell, the leader of The Music Machine came out, who arguably invented at least the look of punk rock, I told him I was a big fan his band when I was in thee sixth grade. That seemed to please him and he said to me "You now, I invented punk rock." That's two guys who were on the radio in 1966 that made me crazy.
