i watched eraserhead for the first time when i lived in center city philadelphia... it wasn't filmed there, but it totally evoked the neighborhood i lived in. later i learned that david lynch did in fact live in the neighborhood (Callowhill) when he attended PAFA and the desolate cityscapes seen in eraserhead were inspired by his time there. Callowhill has even come to be known as "eraserhood"
