interesting wiki... i knew an actress who had a bit part in easy rider and i believe was still in touch w/ dennis hopper in the early 90's. she was married to an important actor in 60's downtown theater who also in easy rider . he died in the early 70's of a drug overdose...partially because of her spouse, the actress i knew was embedded in the downtown theater scene...i was set designer for her plays in the 90's the crew including her went for drinks dinner...and she begins talking about candy darling who she knew pretty well...i can't remember details but it gave me goosebumps being just one degree removed from. candy darling

you met a lot of interesting people in downtown theater, which i don't know still exists as a community. i was set and prop designer for the ridiculous theatrical company after ludlam's passing, and you heard some great stories about ludlam and while renovating an office in the theater found a box of letters from mario montez to ludlam
