October 2, 2024: Kitsch & Sync #005 - Hellraiser: Air
On today's Kitsch & Sync with DJ GeorgyGirl, it's the start of the Hellraiser here on WFMU! It's also the beginning of spooky season, so I'm taking you on a journey through the Psycho Biddy genre, starting with Henry Farrell's "Whatever Happened To Cousin Charlotte?" over some rather lovely Coloursound library music. Any and all donations are gratefully received - simply click that banner at the top of the page!

We all ADORED her.
She read "Charlotte's Web" to us and did voices for all the characters. And one day she brought in her blender and played us songs using the different speeds.
She holds a very special place in my heart <3

I teach as well and some day I hope to have some impact on students. When I did not teach, I wish I had thought more about just how important some teachers can be in people's lives and as you mentioned, the extra effort and distance they go. I really liked hearing some stories from Tim Walz's former students recently and the impact he had on them (Just to clarify, I am not getting political here, just mentioning that stories from his former students have come up during this time and they are quite nice).
Stanley:
DJ GeorgyGirl:
And I am 1000% certain that in years to come, a great many of your former students will be having conversations like these about you :-)

Just out of curiosity, would you see the people living in the Flanders are culturally different than Dutch people in the Netherlands? Or the cultural differences are not vast?

There was a thread on, I think, Reddit, where British people were saying what the UK equivalent of famous shows and words would be. The only one I can remember off the top of my head was something like "the windy wafty" for air conditioning :-)

Add no, it's not because you are 'very old'. At the age of 24 I spent a lot of time looking for my sunglasses which had been on my head the whole time.
