	5:51pm bigplanetnoise: Alex - it was a short lived process that involved knocking certain tracks on a multi track tape out of phase during mixdown, to create a more listenable fold down to mono. (Well-documented.) It was the rage for five minutes in the late 60’s, then abandoned because the stereo mixes suffered horribly because of it.

	5:53pm Discotech Underground: What is unfortunate is the re-recorded "Enter The Young" on AGH is in that CSG format and it suffers because of it. I did my own straight mono mix of it in my audio lab and it sounds much better than it does straight off the vinyl.

	6:26pm Discotech Underground: ↳ Beantown Doug @6:21 I actually saw the real "inspiration" for that scene in person...the Black Sabbath "Born Again" tour and the massive Stonehenge set. It was so big they couldn't fit it into some of the arenas where they played. It was truly a wonder to behold.

The funny part...Quiet Riot was the opening band and they had just hit with "Cum On Feel The Noise"...once they finished playing at least 40% of the arena cleared out because all the kids who watched MTV left. It was a school night, after all.

A very large percentage of the crowd which only knew the one tune left. And the band rocked hard for the rest of us.

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

	5:51pm bigplanetnoise: Alex - it was a short lived process that involved knocking certain tracks on a multi track tape out of phase during mixdown, to create a more listenable fold down to mono. (Well-documented.) It was the rage for five minutes in the late 60’s, then abandoned because the stereo mixes suffered horribly because of it.
