Artist Track Album Label Year Comments Special Approx. start time
Current 93  I Have A Special Plan For This World   Favoriting I Have A Special Plan For This World EP  Durtro  2000      0:00:00 (Pop-up)
Darksmith  shared empty space   Favoriting Total Vacum  Hanson Records  2010  A tiny army of tiny little things crawling up your arm going "bah" to the power of thirteen with descending inflection and all of the obstacles along the way. Who are you calling "shared empty space?" Now I think this is more about an Air Traffic Controller of Orbiting Bodies and a job well done. https://hansonrecords.bandcamp.com/album/total-vacuum    0:05:34 (Pop-up)
Jayve Montgomery  where circles start and stop   Favoriting sounds it calls itself  Self-released  2023  Kaleidoscopic air filtered through time, breath, shapes, spirit, math. Circular breathing Jayve Montgomery you could say is based in Tennessee, playing every horn and beyond that, every thing. In that way the enchantments are universal. Extra-terrestrial. Silver bells, silver bells, silver bells, silver bells. Thoughts of identity. I am that bell. https://jayvemontgomery.bandcamp.com/album/sounds-it-calls-itself    0:08:24 (Pop-up)
Trellis  The Latecomer   Favoriting LIFTED  Peak Oil  2024  At one point the sound of free improvised drum set became associated with the moving images of parkour. The mind's eye can't unsee it. The electronic sounds provide a soft landing of harmonics from which the energetic throughline of raw real horn emerges, tethering the unit as it effortlessly glides and dives round the marbled architecture. https://lifteddc.bandcamp.com/track/the-latecomer    0:25:04 (Pop-up)
Nexcyia  Sacral   Favoriting Exodus  Self-released    Sound artists and Berlin go together like NEXCYIA, a sound artist based in Berlin. I see a word like this and go to Anagram Finder. I like the anagram IXNAY which sounds like Pig Latin. IXNAY would translate to IXN, which could be an anagram for NIX, a negation, a void, an immersive, textural, and contemplative void you could experience while listening to this music. For more information on Pig Latin, read this: Pig Latin is an entertaining linguistic game or a coded language. Move the first consonant to the end of the word, then add ay. "Meadow" becomes "Eadowmay." If a word starts with a vowel the first letter stays in place, but "ay" is still appended. That's why "IXNAY" translates to "NIX." https://nexcyia.bandcamp.com/track/sacral    0:31:02 (Pop-up)
more eaze & kaho matsui  My Chains   Favoriting computer and recording works for girls  Full Spectrum  2024  What cute little thing is that pawing at your leg? Evaporating? https://fullspectrumrecords.bandcamp.com/track/my-chains    0:34:27 (Pop-up)
Shizuka  The Night When the Door Opens   Favoriting III  Concentric Cirles  2023  Staring at the ground and wondering why you don't like me is timeless, universal, and a rapidly reoccurring nuisance to the human spirit. That's why there are so many songs that sound like this. We hear the bass guitar empathizing like bass guitar always does and that's what makes a sad song healing. The bass. Reissue of 90s-era heartache. Of course. https://shizukaband.bandcamp.com/track/the-night-when-the-door-opens    0:39:42 (Pop-up)
DN. AIDEATH  Mandatory Orde Eksekutor   Favoriting Hymne Gorok b  De/TAINMENT TAPES    Someone's at the door. Will you open it? Do you even have the option? https://detainmenttapes.bandcamp.com/track/mandatory-orde-eksekutor  ***   0:46:52 (Pop-up)
Kumao  Guitar Solo 1   Favoriting Guitar Solos 1984  Lake of Madder    Back in the 80s guitarists would cover their amplifiers in piles of blankets filled with glass beads to get this tone which led to the rise of what we know today as the weighted blanket and ironically the coined term "no pressure." https://lakeofmadder.bandcamp.com/album/guitar-solos-1984    0:54:27 (Pop-up)
Kumao  Guitar Solo 2   Favoriting Guitar Solos 1984  Lake of Madder    It started as an experiment by a handful of guitarists who noticed that throwing things over their amps would produce muffled vibrations. Legend has that Mick "The Mute" Hargrove stumbled upon the idea after draping his grandmother's quit over his amp during a particularly rough hangover. To his suprise, the resulting tone wasn't deadened but warm and compressed, sort of softening the raw edges in hug without choking it out.    0:58:03 (Pop-up)
Ignatz and Marcia Bassett  Dream of Autumn Electrified Blues I   Favoriting Dream of Autumn Electrified Blues I & II  YEW Recordings    The wind whispered electric blueberry ice, rolling around the empty streets like the cold, cold breath. A neon sign flickered Vapor Ghost like a vacancy. It was a Monday night on the border in Hammond, Indiana and the air was filled with disembodied flavor. The buzz. The glow. The blues.    1:01:47 (Pop-up)
Ueno Takashi  2   Favoriting Smoke Under the Water  Room40    Tokyo guitarist making it meow.    1:14:47 (Pop-up)
Oliver Coates  Radiocello   Favoriting Throb, shiver, arrow of time  RVNG    R-esonates A-cross D-reams I-nviting O-vertones C-arrying E-choes L-ayered L-yrically O-ver time https://olivercoates.bandcamp.com/track/radiocello    1:17:33 (Pop-up)
Mark Templeton  Highway/Hypnosis   Favoriting Two Verses  Graphical  2024  The lo-fi Highway/Hypnosis makes me nostalgic for the era of the "NOW!" compilation series in the '80s and '90s that featured collections of hits. How about NOW: Tape Loops? "NOW That's What I Call Music!" The wheels keep on turning—Highway/Hypnosis. Line fever. Repeat. Mark Templeton is a Canadian media artist. https://marktempleton.bandcamp.com/track/highway-hypnosis    1:20:06 (Pop-up)
Brandon Seabrook  Melodic Incidents for an Irrational World   Favoriting Object of Unknown Function (Hi-Res 24bit/96k)  Throng of Tremolo Music  2024  A swear jar full of New York tremolo guitar picks enlisted for the special occasion of this tune. Experience the contrast. https://brandonseabrook.bandcamp.com/track/melodic-incidents-for-an-irrational-world-2    1:24:54 (Pop-up)

Mauricio Moquillaza  1. -   Favoriting Mauricio Moquillaza  Buh Records    You live in an igloo surrounded by all kinds of fractals related to ice. You are a geologist and mathematician and it is a fulfilling life. The bass keeps you warm. You are married and have a pet and everything is perfect. It always has been and it will be for a very, very, very long time. God it's so beautiful. https://buhrecords.bandcamp.com/album/mauricio-moquillaza    1:39:06 (Pop-up)
K. Kusafuka  Yellow Blood #1   Favoriting Re-Musik  Tribe Tapes  2020  The 1983 March of the Bits was a ritual demonstration of Pac-Man pellets who sacrificed themselves to One Great Sound and that sound was Yellow Blood #1. We listen today to honor their sacrifice. https://k2music3.bandcamp.com/album/re-musik    1:49:15 (Pop-up)
Tapir's Dream  Tapir's Dream   Favoriting Tapir's Dream (v/a)      A tapir is a mammal with a short snout, not to be confused with a taper who might have a snout that is either short or long. I don't know which sound is my favorite. https://lakeofmadder.bandcamp.com/track/tapirs-dream    1:54:05 (Pop-up)
Utterblight  Becoming   Favoriting Whore's Breath / Utterblight Split  Untitled Record Label    This is our flag, our flag that unites us, this is our flag. This is our flag, which we wave, and put on the flag pole, and raise high. This stuff is so unsettling, I began screaming in terror about it minutes ago. Something that British guy sounds like the movie version of he and Curtis said struck me personally and it just got to be too much, I mean I was being over dramatic but it felt extremely appropriately. Most impressive it's hard for me to comprehend is not the same show?

she was a character but a bit too self involved to be a good grandmother.... she was a character in her own play. one thing she taught me was how to fold a shirt, but another time she was sitting for me and i accidentally spilled milk in my dinner, she tried to make me eat it and there was a standoff....that being said...when she died, i had a half conscious vision of her face moving fro ma distance closer and closer until her face disappeared into mine

I've been interested in video collage for a long time. I guess I should follow up on it, but I really already want to stop being online as much as possible, except where music is concerned.

I am a fairly restless sort and usually need to talk myself into just listening, watching, or reading without needing to do anything else. For example, I am deliberately reading fiction books. It is an extremely difficult thing for me to do when there is so much other stuff I feel I need to do. Currently reading Stephen King's Tommyknockers. His last book that was written on cocaine...

I'm not sure I'm inclined to decide whether or not someone is piggybacking. I haven't been able to get into my instagram since Nov 6, 2023.

Exhausting. 2 concerts and 2 dance shows, all good, but road work right next to my window from 9pm to 5am, so little sleep. 4 more dance shows this coming week, I'll sleep later I guess

I have taken a fair amount of online courses and still need to learn certain graphics programs for the purpose of preparing images to be screenprinted, not to mention online courses about music. I had a subscription to Masterclass for a year, and let's just say I used that as much as I could, notebooks and notebooks of notes, but following through is still a factor when there are so many other things to begin learning...

That is pretty cruel, but at least you know what day sleepers suffer through regularly. It seems technically illegal to do road work at night, though

There is a shot called a "bullshot" which is a double of vodka with tabasco, worcestershire sauce, and a bullion cube. I used to be a bartender. I had a book of drink recipes.
