a tangential thought...with a wall of sound, is the "wall" already "there" invisibly or conceptually and the music/sound just rises to meet it.

i'm just ruminating... spritzing

I love Bandcamp (when you look at an album you bought there, "you ovn this" comes up. You can download as many copies as you'd like, nice for us vinyl obsessive, can still get a digital copy of it)

Treats and tricks to come:
7-10pm (EDT): BODEGA POP with Gary Sullivan: The Sidi Mansourgency: How did a timeless Tunisian Sufi folk song become a smash European disco banger, a Czech song praising spacesuit usage by Smurf astronauts, and covers by dozens of pop and avant-garde musicians worldwide? Special guest Tim (Moroccan Tape Stash) Abdellah takes us down one of Arabic music’s deepest, most bizarrely satisfying rabbit holes.

I have bought the same album twice anyway… like if it’s in the label page and also an artist page. Or if there’s a hi-res edition. (Shrug)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
doctorjazz:

↳ DJ Peter @6:46
Yeah, I've bought doubles as well; have arranged some trades with listeners who also have doubles (that weren't deliberate). But then there are the Deluxe Reissues, with unreleased tracks, Audiophile Vinyl, hi-rez downloads, sheesh!!!

I've done the thing with the label page and artist page at least once. Then there are the times that I bought something via Bandcamp that I had previously bought direct from the label's website or Discogs. Each discovery of such nudges me to commit to one of the four ways that I have tried out for cataloguing everything but that is a wall I've yet to scale.

Getting something on CD or digital that I have on vinyl is a choice I knowingly make regularly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm

↳ WR @6:53
Let’s see. 1. Check my CD database. 2. Check my Bandcamp page. 3. Check my backblaze for backups of digital versions. I think those are my steps.
