But also, so much music of black composers and performers is only being really heard and performed in the last 10 years thanks to the work of many dedicated thinkers, performers and visionary people, like conductor Tali Makell, who put forward this powerful claiming of the less er known narrative of the American Quartet.

looked some things up...harry partch's interest were in ancient greek music theater, noh theater music, african music, some others, but not african american music.....so he can't really be considered in the lineage of dvorak

i think ride on king jesus is an amazing piece of music and makes an interesting comparison with la monte young and marian zazeela's vocal pieces though they are based upon indian examples...
