There was a guy out of Spokane, WA, that had a show that was called, "Welcome To Napville." He would say it was, "Sleepy Music." The show didn't last long, but I remember enjoying the first few I heard.

While "Weird" Al's "Dare To Be Stupid," is largely an original composition, he does lift a riff from this tune for one of the transitions in "Dare To Be Stupid," but slightly sped up.

I contend that "Dare To Be Stupid" is one of the most Devo songs NOT written by Devo.

I was just thinking about this, because I finally saw the Butthole Surfers on a tour for this album, after falling in love with their albums. There were naked cage dancers, horrific dental films being projected over the fans, Gibby was on acid and stripping throughout the course of the night, and it was everything I wanted it to be. What a wild band. That might have been the first time I saw a naked man in public? Well, I'd been to the Country Fair, so second time...

The Butthole Surfers were great back in the day. Their albums sort of cooled off, but they usually brought their A game to each show.

After reading a bit of their biography, I am happy that they bought houses and made bank in their later years. Those albums are not as good to me, but they made a lot of money on them, so good for them.

That might have been the same tour I saw them on. STP was on the bill, too. But they were not as good. I remember using the restroom during their set. Didn't sound too bad from there!
