Holy crap, this is good! Here's an account of my greatest record plundering. I went to a record show and as I walk in I see my friend John who was also thee record store clerk in town. He was flipping through a bin at a table. He looked up, we made eye contact. He had a dead fucking serious look on his face. He then did a very discreet "come over here" gesture with his finger. I head over to the table. There were 3 full bins of Strat-East, Black Jazz and other outre jazz records. All priced at $2!!!!! I spent almost all my money there - haha. This Ensemble al-Salaam was one of my scores that day.

I made a stationary bike about 40 years ago out of my beater road bike with rear wheel on fixed upturned repurposed skateboard wheels and front fork resting on a spindle. The jury-rigged stand for this thing was fragile and unintentionally flexible enough that I had to sit on it in with my body compensating -- leaning, twisted and askew -- enough that I'm surprised I didn't induce a problem, even in just the handful of weeks I made use of it. Or maybe I did...? How's my walk lookin'?
Leaning, Twisted and Askew was not a power rock trio I belonged to. It was an accounting firm I started to handle rock band finances.
