I like this Easy AM. Almost the pace of Firesign, more elliptic than Negativland, but less archly subtle than that easy listening parody channel WFMU had around the turn of the century.

I love the jokes that take a lot of work to get. Like on "Smallville" while Gough & Millar were still running it, when they introduced a character named Dr. Frederick Walden whose book title "Deciphering the Mysteries of the Ancients" could be slurred to sound like "Seduction of the Innocent" by Dr. Frederic Wertham. The character warned that Clark Kent was a threat to humanity. Hilarious if you know the historic background.

But that was as nothing compared to the gags worked by my friend into "Lost". One was a clue -- a running gag of characters making like the cameos Hitchcock had in his movies. One of the cameos was completely abstract, not resembling any actual one but just having a thematic resemblance. All to say these characters fancied themselves "directors" of the plot.
