	4:36pm mndave: as someone who's reeling from a blindside breakup and DEFINITELY not ready to call in about it (breakup reason being she determined she was not ready for a relationship, post-divorce), i learned a lot about how willing i was to move the goalposts in terms of my own future, and redefining it as a shared future. i was completely comfortable with her already having a child, a demanding profession, and potentially co-habitating somewhere outside of my preferred locale. compatibility/flexibility were the two main reasons for not only accepting that, but growing to be excited about it. Sadly that requires both partners to have the same vision and preparedness.

	4:36pm darcy: A couple weeks ago i met someone i guess you could say i have a crush on. Luckily it’s not “omg i must have them” but it is “i am very ready to cuddle with someone”. At our first one-on-one hang, we spent five hours at my apartment just talking and playing music. Around 8, they suddenly wanted to leave. I had been waiting all day evening to say how i felt, so i kinda just blurted it out. They said they had a good time and found me attractive, but that they couldn’t see it “going anywhere”. I’m bummed and still having trouble letting go of my feelings for them…

She inherited some money, and he turned entitled, controlling and eventually violent, so she kicked him out. Good for her once it got there, but I'm sad about how it ended. He had been life-saving for her for over 20 years. Literally: he once forcibly rescued her from an abusive psychiatric institution. Money is corrosive

	4:36pm mndave: as someone who's reeling from a blindside breakup and DEFINITELY not ready to call in about it (breakup reason being she determined she was not ready for a relationship, post-divorce), i learned a lot about how willing i was to move the goalposts in terms of my own future, and redefining it as a shared future. i was completely comfortable with her already having a child, a demanding profession, and potentially co-habitating somewhere outside of my preferred locale. compatibility/flexibility were the two main reasons for not only accepting that, but growing to be excited about it. Sadly that requires both partners to have the same vision and preparedness.

	4:36pm darcy: A couple weeks ago i met someone i guess you could say i have a crush on. Luckily it’s not “omg i must have them” but it is “i am very ready to cuddle with someone”. At our first one-on-one hang, we spent five hours at my apartment just talking and playing music. Around 8, they suddenly wanted to leave. I had been waiting all day evening to say how i felt, so i kinda just blurted it out. They said they had a good time and found me attractive, but that they couldn’t see it “going anywhere”. I’m bummed and still having trouble letting go of my feelings for them…
