it has been soooooo long since i saw Raiders of the Lost Ark that i had to look it up 😹😹 -- i remember liking Karen Allen's tough character
(saw Temple of Doom when it was released a few years later -- pretty damn gruesome in parts, but it was Kate Capshaw's annoying wimpy character that had me cringing, hah!)

Agree with the comments, not a great movie but an absolute joy to see NYC at that time and a cast that made me smile: obv. Pacino, Paul Sorvino (RIP), Karen Allen, Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill), James Remar and I probably forget a few

iirc -- Mercedes McCambridge did the voice of the demon?
i did not see The Exorcist until years later -- "not allowed" by the parents (same with some friends of mine -- sheesh!)
but it was fascinating, seeing photographs and news reports of the huge lines to see the film -- had never seen that before, so i REALLY wanted to see it!
