	4:04am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150): I think the reason why Weird Al songs are so much better than the song he parodies is because the songs he parodies are usually insufferable pop music. A great example of this is R.Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet", which is a self-indulgent melodramatic overlong piece of crap. I probably listened to it once in its entirity. Now, "Trapped in the Drive Thru" parodies the worst part of the original, particularly how ithe mundane is emphasized.

A great example of this is R.Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet", which is a self-indulgent melodramatic overlong piece of crap. I probably listened to it once in its entirity. Now, "Trapped in the Drive Thru" parodies the worst part of the original, particularly how ithe mundane is emphasized.
