I'm not into movies at all anymore. Last one I saw in a theater was Inland Empire, felt like a nice one to stop with (I like how things can go wrong with live stuff, I'm very much into contemporary dance now)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm
coelacanth∅:

↳ fred @1:52
i fully agree on all points.
regarding the former, i almost can't stand her singing. worse than hers was Sonny Bono's...yet, i do like several Sonny & Cher songs; and a few of her early solo tracks.

in any case, nothing against *her*.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm
doctorjazz:

Just went to see Wicked a couple of weeks ago with the family (they were all in love with it, I liked it, felt a bit like an assault, but we did decide late and wound up in a close to the front row).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm
coelacanth∅:

...and i liked the sony & cher show when i was little, mainly because of Cher - who i liked, and i liked her often subtle humour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm
Krys O.:

↳ fred @2:03
I can understand that. I went off seeing new movies in the 80s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm

Cher does have a full-throated singing style that doesn't appeal to everyone. I really liked her early albums.

Sonny had no voice-always liked Cher's voice (though not always what she sang). But Greg Allman went for her, some points for that...

@Krys, I was gonna ask if you had watched that TCM special Jerry Lewis docu on that infamous lost film.
- i was absolutely fascinated by that docu. It’s a very unique (& creepy) slice of history that was surprisingly salvaged (in Sweden production). It’s an odd mix.
Also, Really curious to re-visit Roberto Begnini’s “Life is Beautiful” - directly influenced.
