So many, if not all other listener supported stations are always in fund drive, and begging to the point where it's not fun to listen. WfMU keeps bringing home the goal, and I hope they continue to for decades or even another century. And a big part of why they're successful is the listeners can chat and participate and kinda feel like they're part of the community, and it is a fantastic community to be a part of. Life is often times an unimaginable pain, yet thank goodness for the things that are awesome that are ours year after year!

For a bunch of years I was driving moving trucks around NYC and NJ. Old box trucks that didnt have blue tooth.I like Hot 97 and La Mega, but they only play 3 songs between the 2 stations. WFUV BAI and the other one I'm forgetting now were good... Yet man, sitting for years in all the traffic and scanning the dial and getting Shup Up Werido was like having a travel oasis in the desert.
