And Trump was saber rattling then about tariffs and ending the free and untaxed/untarriffed movement of human-powered watercraft between the USA and Canada. This had been a thing forever, basically, that canoes were never assessed tariffs. But because he was making noise about it, they shipped them to Washington as soon as each boat was made so that they'd already be on this side of the border if the tariff came in.

And Trump was saber rattling then about tariffs and ending the free and untaxed/untarriffed movement of human-powered watercraft between the USA and Canada. This had been a thing forever, basically, that canoes were never assessed tariffs. But because he was making noise about it, they shipped them to Washington as soon as each boat was made so that they'd already be on this side of the border if the tariff came in.
